The Truck
The 2026 Ram 1500 is a full-size, light-duty pickup offered in ten trims, from the work-ready Tradesman starting around $41,575 (before destination) to the luxury Tungsten near $88,800. Four gas engines are available: a 305-horsepower 3.6-liter Pentastar V6, the returning 395-horsepower 5.7-liter HEMI V8, and two 3.0-liter Hurricane twin-turbo inline-sixes making 420 and 540 horsepower. It comes in Quad Cab and Crew Cab body styles with two bed lengths, and tows up to 11,610 pounds when properly equipped. That makes it equally at home pulling a loaded trailer out of Del Valle or running the school-and-grocery loop in Rollingwood.
For 2026, the headline changes are the return of the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 alongside the Hurricane inline-sixes and a new 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty for original owners. Higher trims carry a 14.5-inch Uconnect touchscreen, the largest in the segment. The lineup also reaches past gas: the high-output RHO is the 540-horsepower off-road flagship, while the range-extended Ramcharger pairs an electric drivetrain with an onboard gas generator for long-distance range. The breadth means a daily-driver shopper near Austin and a heavy-duty tower can each land on the right configuration.
